AFTER SCHOOL CARE PROGRAM

HOURS OF OPERATION: After School Care will operate from 3 to 6p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are late picking up your child more than 1 time, an additional $5.00 will be charged to you for each late pick-up. After School Care will also operate on days when there are early dismissals, due to faculty meetings. If there is no school on a particular day, the After School Care Program will not be operating.

There is an additional $5.00 fee per child for the early dismissal days. Statements will be sent home in the Family Folder at the end of the month. Payment will be due by Friday of that week. You will have until the 2nd Friday of that month to pay your account in full. Your child/children will not be able to attend After School Care until this bill is paid. Payments may be made by cash or check, made payable to 'St. Joseph After School Care".

SIGN-OUT SHEET: There will be a daily sheet with the children's names in alphabetical order. You will sign your child out each day when you pick them up. On this sheet will be a place for your signature and the time the child is being picked up. If someone other than yourself is picking up your child, they will be asked to show identification.

SNACKS: Each afternoon a snack will be provided. Juice will be available with the snacks. If your child has any food allergies, please note this on your information form.

ACTlVITY: During the After School Care Program, activities will be primarily free choice. We will go outside each afternoon (weather permitting). The children will have a variety of outdoor activities from which to choose. Games, puzzles, crayons, etc. will be available for the children to use. Homework may be worked on, if necessary.

INJURY: If child is injured during After School Care you will be notified by telephone immediately. Please keep your information sheet up to date.

EARLY DISMISSALS: On these days children should bring a lunch. A snack will be provided later in the afternoon.

BEHAVIOR: The children will be expected to follow the same rules as required during the school day. They will be expected to treat the supervisors and other children with kindness and respect.

FINAL NOTE: St Joseph After School Care is excited to offer this program for the school year. Our main objective is to provide a safe, loving environment for those children attending St. Joseph who must remain after the regular school day. We will strive to provide appropriate activities and caring supervision for all students who need care after the school day ends. We wish to encourage parent involvement whenever you feel the need or desire. Your opinions are important to us. All of the above is subject to evaluation and we reserve the right to change any of the above through out the school year.
